'Atzmon is an astonishing musician.' John Lewis, Metro.

Gilad has been described as 'the best musician living in the world today' (Robert Wyatt, The Guardian). A long-term member of the Blockheads, he has toured extensively.  In this not to be missed performance, he will be debuting his new album as well as tracks from 'Songs from the Metropolis' and 'The Tide has Changed' - a ''Riotous mix of oompah music-hall cavortings,  ...Middle Eastern rhapsodising, ...sensuous clarinet love-songs, and stormy collective blasts'  (John Fordham, The Guardian ****).

St. Mary's Church, dating from the fourteenth century, provides a fantastic venue for this event with its wonderful acoustics and attractive interior. It sits at the centre of lower Wivenhoe, a pretty village on the banks of the River Colne with a rich history of boat building and home to many artists and musicians. A map to the venue can be found here.
